Membership Terms and Conditions

By registering as a member of buzzthepeople you agree to accept these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time by Buzz Channel. Buzz Channel reserves the right to amend these Membership Terms and Conditions at any time. Should you continue to be a Member after any such amendments, then you shall be deemed to have accepted the same. 

Defined Terms:

Buzz Channel means Buzz Channel Limited ()

buzzthepeople means the group that is made up of Members who have signed up to complete surveys

Fundraising Group means a group of Members  earning points for a group or charity and “Group” means any one of them

Group Administrator means the assigned administrator of a Fundraising Group

Member means any member of buzzthepeople

Points means points accrued as a result of completing surveys and also known as ‘Bee Points’

Shopping Voucher means certain voucher(s) that can be selected with accrued Points

Reward Option means the option available for selection by way of either earning points for a Group, or a Member earning points for himself / herself

You / Your means any person registered as a member of buzzthepeople

You warrant that:

You have provided accurate and current personal information. You agree to update your personal information when necessary and to ensure that it is current at all times.

You will only undertake surveys that are sent to you and are in your own name.

You only have one membership.

You will not forward survey links you receive to any third party unless invited to do so by us at the time the link is sent to you.

You will keep information and material shown to you in surveys confidential and will not share any such information or material with any other person or organisation.

You are aged 18 or over, or, if you are under 18, you have the permission of your parents or guardians to be a member of buzzthepeople and to participate in surveys.

You are not a competitor of Buzz Channel, joining up for the purpose of understanding our activity for competitive advantage.

You acknowledge and accept that:

Buzz Channel reserves the rights to suspend or terminate your membership to buzzthepeople without warning at any time in the event of a breach by a Member of any of these terms.

If you don't complete at least one survey in each 18 month period Buzz Channel reserves the right to expire your Points or cancel your membership, meaning any amounts accrued in your Shopping Voucher total can be cancelled.

If Buzz Channel suspends or cancels your membership to buzzthepeople or you cancel your own membership your entries into any undrawn prizes draws will be immediately void.

By joining buzzthepeople and completing surveys you have read and accepted the Prize Terms and Conditions.

If you win a prize, you acknowledge and agree to your first name and some personal details being published on the buzzthepeople website provided that the details published do not include your surname or contact details.

 

Group Membership

If you join a Fundraising Group on buzzthepeople your name, email address, and Points earned for the Group will show up in the Group login area, and be visible to the Group Administrator.

The Group Administrator may order payments from Buzz Channel at their complete discretion and Buzz Channel will pay the person or organisation nominated by the Group Administrator at the time they order a cheque.

If you resign from a Group by changing your Reward Option, the Points you have earned up to the time of resignation will remain with the Group.

If you change your Reward Option to join a Group, the points you have earned up to the time of changing will be voided.

On payout of a cheque to your Group, your Group’s name and some details may be published on the buzzthepeople website.

Intellectual Property

When you become a Member, you agree that title, ownership rights, and other intellectual property and proprietary rights in each survey and the Buzz Channel website shall remain in Buzz Channel and / or its licensors.  This includes any and all survey responses, data and information provided by you as a Member during your participation in any survey.

 

Other Legal Terms and Conditions Disclaimer

You expressly understand and agree that Buzz Channel makes no warranty or representation as to:

The accuracy of any advice or information given or available to you.

The quality or nature of the service, network or your internet connection.

Buzz Channel does not warrant that the services it provides are or will be uninterrupted or error free.

You are liable for any consequential or direct loss or damage suffered by the organisation who commissioned the survey from Buzz Channel (Buzz Client) as a result of you purposely sharing information from a survey with a third party where this leads to this information being published online or in other media, or leads to the information being available to a competitor of a Buzz Client.

Release

You release Buzz Channel and its officers, employees and agents from any claims for loss, damage or liability, including any special damages or consequential loss or damage resulting from a loss of revenue, unavailability of systems or loss of data, in respect of your membership of the service and any Members use of or inability to use the Buzz Channel system.

You indemnify and agree to keep indemnified Buzz Channel and its officers, employees and agents against all claims (including third party claims), damages, costs (including legal costs), penalties or suits arising out of your use of the buzzthepeople service or system.

These terms of membership should be read in conjunction with the Privacy Policy and Prize Terms and Conditions. For the avoidance of doubt, registration as a Member is also deemed as your acceptance of the Privacy Policy and Prize Terms and Conditions
